About Me
Hi, I'm Amy! Welcome to Joyful Loving Life!
I teach yoga, meditation, and mindful breathing classes at my Yoga and Wellness Center in York, PA. I also offer couples coaching and holistic health coaching, both virtually and out of my office in Dallastown, PA.
As the mom of two adult children who were diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD at a young age, I learned the hard way that you can't pour from an empty cup. Years of prioritizing the needs of my family and others over my own health and well-being took a toll on my physical and mental health, and a wake-up call in 2010 motivated me to start taking better care of myself. I started running and competing in triathlon, began eating healthier, and became a yoga teacher, relationship coach, and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. It took time, but steadily I learned how to reclaim and rebuild my life into the one I love living now!
As a woman, parent, partner, daughter, sister, athlete, teacher, coach, and service provider, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate through the daily stressors of life, while trying to create the best possible life for ourselves and the people we love. I have learned how essential self-care and having the right support are to prevent overwhelm, illness, and burnout. I view my life transformation as an ongoing, lifelong, and growth-minded one in which I now view the challenges that arise in life as opportunities for learning, personal growth, deepening my faith, and building more meaningful connections with others. I created Joyful Loving Life LLC to share the life-transforming benefits of yoga, holistic health, and thriving relationships coaching to help build a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community. I take a personalized, trauma-informed and healing-centered approach to empowering people of diverse identities, ages, abilities, and life experiences. I genuinely care about my students and clients and respect their personal values and individual needs. We work together to set realistic, achievable, and sustainable goals. I provide steady encouragement and support to navigate through and overcome the challenges that arise so my clients and students can enjoy the greater health, happiness, and well-being that they desire and deserve!
Regarding my credentials, I have two degrees in Anthropology from Millersville University (1997) and Syracuse University (2002). I completed my initial 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Sid Yoga in Towson, Maryland and have been teaching since 2016. I am currently a 200 Hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT200) and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YAECP). I am certified in Restorative and Chair Yoga (2017), Trauma Informed Yoga (2018), Yin Yoga (2023), Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra (2026), and SUP Yoga (2026). I completed training as a Thriving Relationships Coach (2023) and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (2025). I also have experience teaching Kid Yoga and Hatha Yoga, working with people aged 2-90+, teaching yoga and mindfulness for individuals with autism and other special needs, and teaching yoga and wellness for inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment programs and non-profit organizations.
